Puxton Park Sport Relief Mile

About Us

PUXTON Park near Weston-super-Mare is to support Sport Relief 2014 by staging a Sport Relief Mile in aid of the charity.

Sport Relief is back from Friday March 21 to Sunday March 23, and brings together hundreds of people by running, swimming or cycling to raise life-changing cash.

Funds raised will be spent by Comic Relief to change lives by offering shelter to young people living on UK streets and domestic abuse victims.

Across the globe, funds raised will be used to help children into education and provide communities with fresh water and life-saving vaccines. Puxton Park is getting behind the event by staging a Mile event on Sunday 23 March, with participants choosing to run or walk a distance of one, three or six miles at the attraction.

Entrants will be rewarded by gaining FREE entry afterwards to enjoy the park’s facilities and staff will also be holding a bake-off with delicious cakes on sale to raise more funds.

Head of Park, Susie Richards, said: “Sport Relief is a fantastic cause and the event will be a great, fun, family day out, as it is suitable for all ages:

“Not only will you be helping to raise funds for this worthy cause, but we will also reward your efforts by allowing you park entry for you and your children afterwards.
“You don’t have to run it, you could walk, hop or skip… it’s entirely up to you. Come along and help make a difference to the lives of many people both at home and abroad.”
